The Brown Dog Did It

Here are my little furr-babies.  Bubba J. at the top and Honey at the bottom.  And, yes, if they could really talk I'm sure they would always swear that the other brown dog did it.  Photos are my own, the kit for this page is called Couleurs Evasion by Nanly Designs.  I bought the kit at Scrap Bird.

Morphing Fun

At Scrapbook Flair there are always lots of different challenges going on.  These two pages were done for a challenge where you were to take your own face and morph it onto another image for Halloween.  It takes a bit of time and blending to get it done, but I have lots of fun doing these.  The 2nd image above with me as Marie Antionette actually won 1st place in the challenge.

Light of My Life

I simply love the poses the photographer came up with!  I mentioned before that she took about 200 photos and I am trying to scrap every single one of the photos for them.  Mostly I am using multiple pics per page, but some of my most favorites, like this one, I am using just 1 per page.  I was inspired by a CT page for another kit I saw at Scrap Bird, but for this page I used Parfume d'Automne by Nanly Designs.  Word art is my own.  Photo courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography, Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Cheek to Cheek

As you can tell, my favorite style of scraping is simply to take the photo and create a cluster of elements to compliment it.  A couple more of Dirk and Lyndsey's engagement photos.  The kit used here is Coleurs Evasion by Nanly Designs, purchased at Scrap Bird.  Photos courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography, Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Memories

I love the colors on this!!!  I've played a bit with photo masks and used one here.  For this page I used a kit called Changing Seasons by Azure Scraps, purchased at Scrap Bird.  I touched up the photo a bit to bring out the yellow tones.  A bit of shadowing used for depth.  Photo courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography, Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Looking Up

Another series of photos.  For these the photographer was up on a bridge and Dirk and Lyndsey climbed down to the creek below with driftwood laying on the banks.  Again, I love the candid shots the photographer took of them getting into position.  For this page I used a kit by Nanly Designs called C'est la Saison, purchased at Scrap Bird.  Some intensifying of the colors on the photos and spotlight added, as well as shadowing for depth.  Photos courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography, Stillwater, Oklahoma.

In the Garden

A few more of the engagement photos, love again that I could zoom in on their hands with Lyndsey's engagement ring!  Kit used is Orangerine by Nanly Designs available at Scrap Bird.  Photos courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography, Stillwater, Oklahoma.  I did some coloring and spotlighting on the photos and cut strips from the background that I used for added elements; shadowing added for some dimension.

Playing House

A couple more of the engagement photos taken at the little playhouse.  This page made with a kit called Colleur Vanille by Nanly Designs, bought at Scrap Bird.  Photos courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography, Stillwater, Oklahoma

Layers of Love

Another series of Dirk and Lyndsey's engagement photos.  This page made from Nanly Designs' kit called You and Me.  Blended one photo onto a piece of one of the backgrounds.  Shadowing added for dimension.

I Heart You

This page made from a kit by Nanly Designs, unfortunately I didn't write down which one and I have bought so many of her kits at Scrap Bird!  I really do like her kits!!!  Anyway, more of the engagement photos, this series is at a little playhouse and the name above the porch says "The Darlings"...very cute!!!  Photos courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography, Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Live Love Laugh

Hey, guess what...more engagement photos!  LOL  For this page I used various kits by Fantasy Moments.  If you haven't already found this website, you really need to check it out!!!  Loads and loads of free kits and posers.  The words, Live, Love, Laugh are my own placed on the tags.  A little shadowing added for depth and a little spotlighting on the photos.

Amour 2

A few more from the pose where they are laying on the grass cheek to cheek.  I love that one of the photos showed Lyndsey's engagement ring and that I could zoom in and capture it.  I used Reve d'Amour kit by Nanly Designs purchased at Scrap Bird for this page.  Photos courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography, Stillwater, Oklahoma

Gates

More of Dirk and Lyndsey's engagement photos, courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography.  For this page I used a kit called Mechanical Garden by Cali Design; pretty sure I bought this kit at Scrap Bird.

Amour

More of the engagement photos courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography, Stillwater, Oklahoma.  This page is made from a kit I bought at Scrap Bird called Reve d'Amour by Nanly Designs.  The photographer did a series of pictures of Dirk and Lyndsey laying on the grass, cheek to cheek, and gently cupping the other's face.  Just a precious pose!

Paint

In early October of 2011 a small circus came to our little town.  This is my granddaughter, Haley, getting her face painted by one of the clowns.  I created the word in Photoshop from the picture.  The background and all elements are from various free kits by Digicats.

Dark Elf

This page I made with a kit called Ombre et Lumiere by MiMi Concept.  The elf image I got from the web it is by HDJart.  I put this page together in Nova Photo Explosion then opened it in Photoshop and applied some different effects, mainly the plastic effect.  I wish I had kept better notes of what I did because I love this leathery look and have tried to duplicate it and can't get it the same.  Anyway, it was created for a challenge at Scrapbook Flair.

My Honey

This page I made with a kit I bought at Scrap Bird.  It is by Nanly Designs called "My Honey".  The strips and blocks I cut from various backgrounds in this kit and did some shadowing to the layers to give it depth.  I entered this in a challenge at Scrapbook Flair; it won 3rd place and was selected as the site's Scrapbook of the Week.  Of course, a few more of Dirk and Lynsdey's engagement photos, courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography, Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Saving Each Other

Sometimes you see an image that just won't leave your heart; this is just that kind of an image.  I happened upon this photo on the web and had to scrap it!  The kit I used is by Jaelop and is called Praise the Lord.  I've had this kit for a long time and got it from her blog as a free kit.  The postage stamp mats I created with my Nova Photo Explosion program, everything else is from the kit with shadowing added for depth.

Goldfish

This page made entirely from my friend, Ditz Bitz's new kit called Lily, available on her blog.  The image is from the web.  Some shadowing added to give depth, but none of the elements are recolored.

Be Mine

This page made with my friend, Ditz Bitz's new kit called With Love.  I extracted Dirk and Lyndsey for them to stand on the end of the blocks.  Photos courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography in Stillwater, Oklahoma

The Kiss

Another page made entirely from my friend, Ditz Bitz's Vintage Valentine kit, available on her blog.  Again, my son, Dirk and his fiance, Lyndsey; photos courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  This photographer took about 200 photos and caught some really cute candid shots as well as beautiful posed shots.  I love the expression on Dirk's face in the upper left photo.

Vintage Valentine

This is made entirely from my friend, Ditz Bitz's new kit called Vintage Valentine.  The picture is my son, Dirk, and his fiance, Lyndsey.  The photo is courtesy of Apple of My Eye Photography in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Love is Madness

This page is made from a kit by my friend, Ditz Bitz, available on her blog.  I cut the same background to layer behind the photo to give it some depth.  The tag says "If love is not madness it is not love", thus the title Love is Madness
