Free Scrapbooking Page Template 12-18-14

Here is this week's free scrapbook page template.  My apologies for not getting this posted on Sunday or Monday as I normally do.  I am in the middle (or should I say very, very beginning) of backing up my computer to Carbonite.  I love their service and after getting a new computer a while back, I haven't backed up everything in quite a while.  My wonderful ISP is so lightning fast (sarcasm) that if I calculate the time correctly, based on how much has been backed up since Sunday, I should have everything on my computer backed up by hopefully 4th of July, as it says .2% has been backed up since Sunday...and yes that is .2%, not 2%.  And for some reason when I tried to upload the template to MediaFire it kept giving me an error, so I finally had a chance to get this all done from work...whew!

Anyway, this template is full size and available in .psd format.  It is PU/S4H/S4O and CT friendly.  Shadowing is for the preview only, and the sample scrap made with this template is in the next post below.  Enjoy!

Here is the sample scrap made using this week's template; Template 11-23-14.  I have also used my newest FREE kit that is available here on my blog, it is called Welcome Little One.  I created this kit in celebration of this little guy, my first grandson (second grandchild) who is due to arrive any day now.  This photo is from a 3d/4d ultrasound.  His name is Clayle (my son likes old westerns and that is a name he heard on a couple of them).

Free Scrapbooking Kit - Welcome Little One (boy elements 1)

I would like all of you to celebrate with me as I eagerly await the arrival of my first grandson (second grandchild).  He is due to arrive any day now and we can hardly wait.  So, to help me pass the time I have been creating this kit for all those precious baby photos!  

I was going to just create one kit with the combination of baby boy and baby girl colors, but as usual, I just kept creating and creating until I realized I was going to have to divide the kit into "his" and "hers".  The two kits share a few elements and papers that are exactly the same, but the vast majority of the elements and papers are different.

I have divided each kit into 4 different downloads; 3 for elements and 1 for papers.  The download link is immediately below each of the previews.  And after creating the previews I realized I hadn't included a couple of the elements so I created a little mini kit with them and went ahead and added just a few more.  And the word art, since it is interchangeable with either kit is in its own separate down load, so that means there are 10 downloads in all!  Whew!!  Enjoy!!

Free Scrapbooking Page Template 11-16-14

I have included the photo mask on the template, it is already lightened so all you have to do is clip your photo right onto the mask on the template.  

Simple Directions for using Photo Masks:

For anyone who doesn't know how to clip a photo to a photo mask it is really quite easy.  Just click on the photo mask layer to select it, then place your chosen photo on top of the mask.  For those using a PC just use the keys "Control + G"; for those using a Mac just use the keys "Command + G".  The photo will be automatically clipped to the mask.  You can move the photo over the mask to get it positioned just the way you want.  Voila!!

At Scrapbook Flair we get to create our own icons if we want.  There is a challenge currently running for us to scrap our personal icon.  I decided to use today's template to create my scrap.

On my original icon I used Couleurs Fantasies by Nanly Designs so I decided to use the same kit to scrap my icon.

Free Scrapbooking Mega Kit

I created a mega kit for Halloween that is available at Scrapbook Flair.  If you are not a member, you can join for free.  Free memberships let you always download the 3 newest kits/collections.  As new kits/collections are added, you can continue to download them for free.  This kit was suppose to go public before Halloween but for some reason is wasn't made available until last week.  And shame on me for not letting all of your know before today.  Anyway, better late than never!  This kit has 153 elements and 30 papers, there are also these 5 templates.  The templates are as shown below (much like a QP) but each individual layer is still available for you to work with.  You can download the whole thing or pick and choose each individual element or paper.  Hope many of you will skip on over to Scrapbook Flair and pick up this kit.

Here is a sample scrap from this week's free Template 11-10-14.  I have used papers and elements from my next free kit (the butterflies are the only thing not in the kit) that will be available at Scrapbook Flair for Thanksgiving.  Once again, I started out expecting to create a normal size kits but ended up with another mega kit with well over 100 elements and about 30 papers, plus 5 templates.  I'll make an announcement when it goes public.  As I have mentioned before, you can get a free membership at Scrapbook Flair.  Free memberships let you always download the 3 newest kits/collections.  Each time a new kit/collection is added you can keep downloading them.  You can also join any of the challenges and you can post about 500 scraps on your own homepage.  There are different paid memberships that let you have more scraps on your homepage and download the older kits/collections.

My brother and his wife brought their granddaughter (my great-niece) for a weekend we all spent together.  I haven't been around her much other than an hour or two at holidays.  She has such a large personality and every time I raised my camera she was always happy to say "cheese".

Free Scrapbooking Blog Train for November~Pixel Scrapper

It's the first of November and Pixel Scrapper is kicking off this month's blog train.  Our theme for this month is "Our House".  I had a very difficult time finding my groove this month, even after listening to the song repeatedly.  I finally happened upon the template for this fairy house made from a boot and felt I found my inspiration.  This is vastly different from the other kits on this month's blog train but I hope many of you can use and enjoy it!  There are a couple of papers with glitter accents as well as a few flowers.

Sample Scrap for Template 10-27-14

My parents recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.  My brothers and I rented a rustic lodge for all of us to get together and spend the weekend with our parents.  Some of us went horseback riding.  I'm still a little sore, but as my mom said, aches and pains will fade but the memories will last forever.

I used Equinox by G&T Designs for this scrap.

Autumn Art~ October's Pixel Scrapper Blog Train~Free Scrapbooking Kits

Wow, time has flown and it is already October...eeeeek that means Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner.  Well, the theme for October's blog train from Pixel Scrapper is Autumn Art.  The train in HUGE and I don't think anyone will be disappointed with all the contributions.  I didn't put any solid papers in my part because there are always a couple of stops with solid papers.    I tried to do a mini kit, but even after cutting lots and lots I still ended up with 50 elements (including word art) and 14 papers.  ENJOY!

Scrap from Free Template 09-22-14 #2

Here is a scrap made with free Template 09-22-14 #2.  I used Sweet Peaches by Saskia and MCrea.  The photo is one of the pics I took in Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  I love rock hunting and I love all the gigantic formations, and this is a free park area.  Imagine walking trails through here whenever you want.  If I lived there I would definitely be inclined to exercise…lol!!
